Q. A person named Khalid Sayed is the Head of the ANC youth league and a MPL in the Western Cape Legislature.
On Lailatul Ashuraa at the Ahlul Bait centre in Cape Town he made the following comments: “The Khulafa e Raashideen and Sahaba (RA) are Munafiqeen who usurped the Khilafah and hid their Kufr..”
What is the status of the Imaan of such a person?
A. This Khalid Sayed chap is a Shia. He has been affiliated to Afosa for a considerable period of time (earliest records at our disposal indicate already from 2016). Since he is a Shia, he was never a Muslim in the first place. So he merely expressed his kufr beliefs which even his hypocritical Taqiyah could not conceal.
And if a ‘Muslim’ has to make such statements, he will lose his Imaan. But as far as Mr Khalid ANC is concerned, he is undoubtedly a Kaafir! He merely confirmed his Kufr and exposed his own beliefs. Those who revile the Sahaabah (Radhiyallahu Anhum) in reality hate Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam.
