Q. Is it permissible to listen to the Qiraat and Nazms of Qari Ziyaad Patel? Although he is linked to Darul Uloom Zakariyya, I will not listen to him because:
- He indulges in photography and videos.
- He promotes Menk, the deviate. They seem to be close friends.
- He even publicly posts photos and videos which depict women.
- He recently had advertised a program in Birmingham which has pictures of Ml Chohan, himself and Sh Sooliman Moola and we all know how misled Suliman Moola is.
- A few weeks ago, he was a guest at Masjidul Quds in Cape Town. And we all know that this Masjid in Cape Town defends the Shias. Why does he feel comfortable amongst Shia defenders?
- He very comfortably performs Imaamate at Masaajid where the Covid protocols of the Kuffaar are observed which shows that he has no problem with people performing their Salaat in conflict with the Sunnah and in conformity to Kufr protocols.
- He sings Nasheeds and nazms to an audience like some professional singer. In fact, singing is his profession which I understand to be Haraam for Muslims.
- He and his ilk treat the Masjid like an entertainment centre with their Qiraat and Naat performances.
- He seems to be more like a celebrity than a Qari.
- And the worst is him posing in a photo next to a scantily dressed woman at a Haraam wedding amongst Fussaaq and Fujjaar.
Are the above reasons valid reasons for not listening to such Qaris?
A. Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: “The majority of the munaafiqeen of my Ummah are its qaaris.”
Stay far away from such deviates. Your reasons for not listening to such Shayaateen are absolutely correct and valid. It is not permissible to listen to the Qiraat recitals of these Munaafiqeen. Never listen to the bayaans of the Mudhilleen. And never listen to the songs of these singers. We have also realised that many of the students of Qari Ayub Ishaq and Darul Uloom Zakariyya are off-track. A few examples are Suliman Moola, Ziyaad Patel, Habib Bobat, Yusuf Badat (Canada), etc. Remember that Molvis, Muftis, Qaaris, Sheikhs, scholars, etc. who take photos, appear on TV or allow themselves to be videoed are all part of the team of Shaytaan. And those who defend them are amongst the worst traitors to Islam.
