RESPONSE TO THE SCRAP ‘FATWA’ OF ‘ISLAMIC’ PORTAL’S YUSUF SHABBIR
Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam said: “Straighten the sufoof……and do not leave gaps for the shaytaan. He who joins the saff, Allah will join him. He who cuts the saff (leaves gaps), Allah will ‘cut’ (destroy) him.”
An article published by some UK Molvis styling themselves as ‘Islamic Portal’, which is supposed to be a Fatwa but in reality is NOT a Fatwa, has crossed our path. It is indeed surprising that even Molvis and so-called ‘Mufti’s have failed to understand the purpose of the plague!
The declaration of our Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam that the Plague is for the Mu’mineen a Rahmat and Shahaadat, clinches the issue. For the kuffaar, fussaaq and fujjaar, the Plague is an Athaab. But for the obedient Mu’mineen it is Shahaadat.
A Muslim is supposed to understand that there is no remedy for this virus which has a specific task to accomplish, and it will follow the course fixed for it by Allah Ta’ala. Only those destined to perish and die will be apprehended by the plague. Not a single person for whom Maut has not been decreed will die. By ignoring the kufr protocols of the kuffaar, not a single life is risked. There is no such concept of risking lives in relation to an epidemic.
Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam has made it abundantly clear that a plague comes with either Athaab or Shahaadat. There is no third factor underlying the plague. The person earmarked for Allah’s Wrath will not escape, and the stupid kufr protocols will not avail. He will perish if Allah’s Athaab has been decreed for him. On the other hand, the person whom Allah Ta’ala has decreed to be elevated with Shahaadat will attain his lofty rank. He has no need for the filth of the kufr protocols which the deviated scholars believe can thwart Maut and nullify Allah’s Decree.
Furthermore, what was the example of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam and the Sahaabah in the Musjid during plagues? Did they adopt the Shaytaani spacing method of the atheists? How did they stand in the sufoof? It is indeed mind boggling that despite being aware of the example of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam and the Sahaabah, ‘muftis’ find it plausible to negate the Sunnah practice with the haraam shaytaani method of the atheists.
If such spacing was a valid requisite, our Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam and the Sahaabah would have been the very first people to have introduced it. The Ummah had been ravaged by many plagues from the very era of our Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam, but never did any one of the Salafus Saaliheen or Muslims of later eras ever insult their Imaan and intelligence with these silly, stupid, shaytaan-inspired methods of the atheists.
Let us now analyze their so-called ‘fatwa’, which reads as follows:
“Islam has placed huge emphasis on standing together in congregational Ṣalāh. Under normal circumstances, it is strongly disliked to have any gaps within the Ṣufūf (rows).
In light of this and the maxim of adopting the lesser of the two harms, Masjids should organise the congregation in groups of six or two households, as per the updated Government Guidance, and make use of each Ṣaff (row). Masjids should continue to adopt reasonable precautionary measures and take note of any local restrictions should they be introduced.
May Allah Almighty remove this pandemic from us so congregational Ṣalāh can resume without any distancing.”
Response:
1. ‘STRONGLY DISLIKED’:
To have any gaps in the Sufoof is not merely ‘strongly disliked’, it is Haraam. Makrooh Tahrimi acts are practically Haraam. And it is permissible to declare a Makrooh Tahrimi act as Haraam as has been explicitly mentioned by the honourable Fuqaha and which was their noble practice as well.
The purpose of a Fatwa is to guide the masses and and to bring them closer to Allah Ta’ala. The term ‘strongly disliked’ does not adequately do justice to the prohibition of having gaps in the Sufoof. Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam unambiguously stated that the gaps are left for the Shaytaan. Shaytaan fills the gaps. Sealing the gaps with shoulders is Waajib. Leaving gaps for the Shayaateen is Haraam. Muftis should not speak in ambiguous terms. The Haqq should be loud and clear!
Nowadays, ‘muftis’ use such terms which leave scope for Baatil. A typical example is the usage of the term ‘strongly disliked’. Say ‘prohibited’ or ‘impermissible’. And even more better would be to use the word Haraam. When the laity hear ‘strongly disliked’, they don’t regard the evil act to be prohibited. They understand that although it is ‘strongly disliked’ to have gaps in the Sufoof, it is not Haraam to have gaps in the Sufoof. So, the explanations and terms utilised by a Mufti play a huge role in a Fatwa.
But, when a Fatwa is Baatil, then ambiguous and misleading terms are used to water down the Haq which is undoubtedly an impediment for Molvis who want to bootlick the medical Zindeeqs! Makrooh Tahrimi is a technical term which actually means Haraam. Furthermore, the literal translation of Makrooh Tahrimi is ‘prohibitively disliked’ or ‘prohibitively detested’. So the rendition of ‘strongly disliked’ does not adequately describe the term Makrooh Tahrimi, neither technically nor literally.
2. ‘NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES’:
The Mufti speaks of ‘normal circumstances’. Now can the Mufti explain the circumstances of the Sahaabah when they were affected by plagues. Whilst the Islamic Portal clique and their ilk adore the talk of ‘precautions’, why is there no mention of precautions in the Ahaadeeth with regards to the Sufoof???
The Islamic Portal group correctly states that the Masaajid should not close due to epidemics. In another ‘Fatwa’, they state: “Masjids remaining open when epidemics occurred during the era of the companions and thereafter. Ḥadīths advising precautions during epidemics do not mention closing Masjids or stopping congregational Ṣalāh.”
The same should be said regarding the Sufoof and all the Ahkaam of the Shariah! Despite ‘Mufti’ Yusuf Shabbir being part of the ‘contagionist’ ilk, they all have miserably failed to present Ahaadeeth which prove that the Ahkaam pertaining to Janaazah, Hajj, Musaafahah, Salaat with Jamaat, the Sufoof, etc. ‘change’ or are different during epidemics and plagues.
The talk of ‘normal circumstances’ is cunningly introduced to induce the reader’s mind to conclude that the current circumstances are ‘abnormal’ which would justify the Kufr protocols of the atheists which means that there was or is a different Sunnah to be practised during plagues.
But the UK Molvis are not so audacious to declare the Shaytaani protocols as Sunnah, which would be tantamount to attributing lies to Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam. And in such a case, the symptoms of the Fatwa of Kufr applicable to such audacious Munaafiqeen would be apparent to all the Mu’mineen. But instead, the deviated Molvis who have justified the Kufr protocols have adopted a shrewd method of misleading the masses. They deliberately mention red herrings so that the readers mind could easily digest the satanic arguments of ‘dharoorat’, ‘harm’, ‘risking lives’, ‘preserving lives’, ‘precaution’, ‘normal circumstances’ etc. etc. which would serve as a basis for the legalization of Haraam acts.
Accordingly, the phrase ‘normal circumstances’ was introduced to justify the Shaytaaani protocols of the atheists. Since the bootlickers are fully aware of the conduct of our Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam and the Sahaabah during a plague they most deceitfully sidestep this issue as if it has no importance.
There is something really amiss with the brains of these Muftis. When they have realized the challenges which Muslims are facing due to the satanic protocols and they are supposed to be aware that the plague has been sent by Allah Ta’ala to wake us up from our slumber, then is this not a time to hold on even more to the Sunnah?
What was the Sunnah regarding the Sufoof during plagues? Was it that gaps had to be introduced because of the baseless and misinterpreted arguments of ‘dharar’, ‘dharoorat’, ‘haajat’ and ‘mafsadataan’? What Sunnah did the Sahaabah practise during plagues? Why did the Jaahili theory of contagion not bring about a change in the Sunnah during the era of the Sahaabah when they were afflicted with plagues? Do these Islamic Portal Molvis understand the Sunnah better than the Sahaabah?
Leave out a Mufti, what type of a Muslim is that who despite being fully aware of the conduct of our Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam and the Sahaabah during a plague, he or she most cunningly bypasses this issue as if it has no relevance!!! Why are the present-day fence-sitting ‘contagionists’ ominously silent on the Conduct of our Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam. Then they commit the blasphemy of endeavouring to divert the focus of Muslims from the Conduct of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam with their stupid ‘normal circumstances’ and ‘contagion’ drivel! Have you no shame and no fear for Allah?
The attitude of Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam and the Sahaabah Radhiyallahu Anhum outrightly refutes all these protocols which liberals and stupid molvis are justifying at the behest of the atheists, the Kuffaar governments and the medical Murtaddeen!
There is absolutely not the slightest support in the Qur’aan and the Ahadith for the evil host of haraam protocols acquired from the atheists.
3. ‘ADOPTING THE LESSER OF THE TWO HARMS’:
The Molvis have justified Shaytaani distancing in Salaat due to their misunderstanding of the operation of the Usools of Fiqh and Ifta!
In a very ambiguous manner, Islamic Portal states: “In light of this and the maxim of adopting the lesser of the two harms, Masjids should organise the congregation in groups of six or two households, as per the updated Government Guidance, and make use of each Ṣaff (row).”
In light of what? When they say ‘in light of this’, then what is the meaning of ‘this’? In light of what, should the Sunnah be abandoned during plagues? To make it more vivid, we should rather ask: In the darkness of what, are you intending to abrogate the Sunnah (i.e. the Waajib act) of standing shoulder to shoulder in Salaat?
Then, the Molvis speak of the maxim of adopting the lesser of the two harms. Firstly, what are the two ‘harms’ which the Islamic Portal clique are hallucinating about? Secondly, is there no third option? Thirdly, Muslims may not enforce upon themselves satanic protocols. Fourthly, Muslims are not stuck between two evils or two harms as imagined by the Islamic Portal clique. Fifthly, if in the event a Muslim is forced by a government official (who is obviously not a Muslim unless he is a Munaafiq) to observe the fong kong conditions such as Shaytaani distancing in Salaat, then Muslims should rather perform their Salaat at home or at other venues where the Sunnah could be upheld. But, for a Mufti to despicably justify a satanic protocol and search for justification in the Shariah for such satanism, is not just liberalism but it reeks of Kufr as well!
They have not even understood the correct operation of the principle of adopting the lesser of two evils/harms. When a Muslim is confronted with two evils and there is no third halaal option, and circumstances constrain adoption of one option, only then in such a scenario will it be permissible to adopt the lesser evil in order to escape the greater evil.
There is a third halaal option in this case. And that is performing Salaat at home if the government has posted its policemen or officials to impose the satanic protocols. But, when the government has not posted policemen, then what is the need to perform Salaat like a bunch of circus clowns?
These Molvis should explain the two harms adequately. Nevertheless, even if they explain themselves, the Musalli is not stuck between two evils. He is not ‘forced’ to perpetrate one of the two evils without a third Halaal option. The third Halaal option would be to reluctantly leave the Musjid and go home and perform his Salaat in accordance to the Sunnah without the impure najis sanitizers, without the devil’s mask and without the satanic distancing in Salaat!
The Shar’i principle of the ‘lesser of the two harms’ simply has no application in this scenario. With their skulduggery they attempt to bamboozle people. It has to be emphasized that the guidelines of any government of the world which is in conflict with the Sunnah, is Kufr trash to us. We follow the Sunnah – not rubbish Kufr!
Leaving 2m gaps between the front and back Sufoof and Musallis standing one or two metres apart from one another in the Jamaat Salaat is absolutely Haraam. It stinks of Kufr because it is done in obedience to Shaytaani government so-called ‘guidance’ which is in direct conflict with the Sunnah of Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam.
These Muftis and Molvis must check their Imaan before issuing trash Fatwas. It seems as if these liberal Sheikhs and bootlicking Molvis are stuck between two harms without any third Halaal option due to their liberalism and deviated contagion and so-called harm theories intended to overthrow the entire Sunnah! The two harms are: (1) Issuing Baatil Fatwas which destroy the Imaan and Akhlaaq of the masses, (2) Kitmaanul Haq and behaving like dumb Shayaateen. They don’t seem to have the third option of speaking the Haq and trashing Baatil. In light of the above, such Mufti Maajins and Ulama-e-Soo should rather seal their lips and reside in the dungeons of dumb Shaytaaniyyat instead of making themselves defenders and propagators of Baatil which makes them vocal Shayaateen in reality which is worse than dumb Shaytaaniyyat in such a scenario. (May Allah save us from such evils. Aameen)
4. ‘REASONABLE PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES’:
The Molvis make mention of ‘reasonable precautionary measures’! Kufr is ‘contagious’ and this is the rijs (filth) which has afflicted the bootlicking Molvis.
Is the Sunnah not reasonable enough? These miserable molvis have not applied their minds! What precautionary measures did Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam and the Sahaabah Radhiyallahu Anhum adopt during plagues pertaining to Salaat, the Sufoof, Musaaafahah, Ghusl, etc. etc.? Morons and Munaafiqs imply that by following the Sunnah, this will be tantamount to harming oneself and others! Inna lillaahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Raaji’oon. During the plague of Amwaas, the Sahaabah did not self-isolate nor did they adopt quarantine! They did not ‘flee’ from others!
Not a single one of these Principles quoted by Islamic Portal can be employed to negate the Sunnah adopted by Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam and the Sahaabah during a plague. No one has the ability and authority to teach Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam the operation of principles and legal maxims. Despite our Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam and the Ulama among the Sahaabah being fully cognizant of the Usool, they at no stage employed these to stay aloof from others. They did not resort to any methods to combat the plague other than crowding the Masaajid and supplicating to Allah Ta’ala. They were fully aware that the Plague is a Rahmat and Shahaadat for the Mu’mineen, or an Athaab for the kuffaar, fussaaq and fujjaar. They understood perfectly that the Decree of Allah Azza Wa Jal can never be thwarted.
During the Plague of Amwaas, when Hadhrat Muaaz Bin Jabal Radhiyallahu Anhu was informed that Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam had mentioned that the Plague is a Rahmat and Shahaadat for the Mu’mineen, he fervently supplicated to Allah Ta’ala to bestow this Treasure to him and his family. Allah Ta’ala accepted his Dua. Thus Hadhrat Muaaz Radhiyallahu Anhu and some close family members were blessed with the elevated status of Shahaadat. The Plague had claimed them. This was the understanding of the Sahaabah regarding the Plague.
Finally, it is our fervent Dua that all Masaajid which have closed will be opened and Salaat conducted in the Sunnah method, i.e. without observing the satanism of the kufr protocols. Only then will the Rahmat of Allah Ta’ala settle on Muslims.
Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: “Soon will there dawn an age when nothing of Islam will remain except its name – nothing of the Qur’aan will remain except its text. The Musaajid will be elaborate (and ornate) structures, but bereft of guidance. The worst of the people under the canopy of the sky will be the ulama. From them will emerge fitnah, and the fitnah will rebound on them (and hem them in).”
