DURBAN’S DUBAI SOUK – ABSOLUTELY NOT FOR
TRUE MUSLIMS
‘And do not assist towards sin and transgression.’ (Qur’aan)
Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: “Very soon a time will come when nothing of Islam will remain, except its name…”
Much has been written already against the Ansaar Souk, KMSZ Souk, Mass Mawlids, the Hartley Fair and several other Haraam gatherings and functions. Almost all the facts stated in those pamphlets and booklets are applicable to the Dubai Souk as well.
There is no real need to explain why the Dubai Souk is Haraam and absolutely shameless. Every person with a little brains readily understands the Shaitaaniyyat and be-hayaa-i (immorality) prevalent at all of these funfairs, souks and entertainment shows.
Just consider the amount of intermingling of the sexes, which take place at the Souks! The Laws of Hijaab are murdered without any shame and remorse whatsoever. Music and public singing is promoted by the Shayaateen. Women looking at men and men looking at women! The amount of futility is also remarkable. Is this what Islam teaches us…?
‘PROSTITUTES’ AT DUBAI SOUK
Think about the immorality and lewdness of a “Fashion Show” which these Souk rubbish-morons are hosting. Whilst some advertise the prostitute fashion show as ‘Ladies only’, it has been brought to our notice that the Dubai Souk has on their website a Haraam Video with music, animate photography, and snippets of women and girls walking on the ‘catwalk’ like prostitutes.
Allah Ta’ala commanding women to remain indoors, says in the Qur’aan Majeed: “And remain resolutely in your homes, and do not make a display (of yourselves) like the exhibition of Jaahiliyyah.”
The Shaitaani ‘fashion show’ display is one of the exhibitions of Jaahiliyyah mentioned in the aforementioned Qur’aanic Aayat. These lewd women are the type of zaaniyahs (prostitutes) castigated by Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) who said about these immoral females:
“A woman who applies perfume and passes by a gathering is like an adulteress (prostitute).”
HAVE WE FORGOTTEN ALLAH’S PUNISHMENT ON THE MUSLIMS OF BOSNIA, ROHINGYA, SYRIA, ETC. ETC.?
“Such is the Seizure of your Rabb when He seizes the towns while they are doing wrong. Verily, His Seizure is painful and severe.” (Surah Hood, Aayat 102)
Transgression of the Shariah invites Allah’s punishment! The Souk is not just to be condemned. We should NOT attend the Souk. It is absolutely Haraam to attend the Souk. How can one attend gatherings, functions and such Souk-nonsense where the Laws of Allah are flouted?
Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: “He who increases the number of a crowd is of them. He who is pleased with an act of the people is a partner in its commission.”
However, some Muslims do not seem to be interested in the Laws of Allah. We are living in such delicate times about which Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said:
“Islam began in a forlorn state. Soon will it return to that forlorn state in which it had begun. Therefore congratulations to the Ghuraba.”
MUSIC
Music is Haraam. There are four Aayats in the Qur’aan and over 40 Ahaadeeth which prove that Music is Haraam. In the Qur’aan Shareef, music is described as Sautush Shaytaan (the voice of Shaytaan). Furthermore, the prohibition of music is unanimous according to all four Math-habs. The verdicts of the Fuqaha of the four Math-habs on the issue of music are final and binding. Any view contrary to the unanimous Fatwa of the prohibition of music, is rejected as baseless.
Hadhrat Abu Maalik Ash’ari (Radhiyallahu Anhu) says that he heard Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) say:
“Most certainly, there will be in my Ummah people who will make fornication, silk, liquor and musical instruments lawful.” (Bukhaari)
A person who ‘halaalizes’ something which is Haraam becomes a kaafir according to the unanimous verdict of all the Authorities of the Shariah. The organizers and legalizers of the Devil’s Souk all fit into this category. If Music was ‘halaal’ as some deviates claim, then it would be futile for Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam to say that they will make it (i.e. music) Halaal!
MERRY-GO-ROUNDS AND FUN FAIRS
Consider the Haraam fun fair and merry-go-rounds. Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: “EVERY SPORT OF THE MU’MIN IS BAATIL, (i.e. HARAAM)”. The Qur’aan explains our objective in this world:
“The life of this world is but play and amusement while the Abode of the Aakhirah is best for those who fear (Allah). What! (O you morons of the Souks!) Have you no sense.” (QUR’AAN)
It seems as if those hosting the Dubai Souk, those promoting it, those participating in it, and those encouraging the Devil’s Souk, do not fear Allah in the least. They are in all probability ‘Muslims’ only by name!
FEAR ALLAH AND BOYCOTT THESE HARAAM SOUKS
It is necessary for Muslims to understand that we are inviting Allah’s punishment by hosting, attending or promoting the Haraam Souks. Allah has punished many communities in the past for their flagrant transgression of the Laws of Allah. The following Aayaat are sufficient for people who wish to have some direction in their lives.
“What! Are the people of the towns confident that Our punishment will not overtake them during the night whilst they are asleep? What! Are the people of the towns confident that Our punishment will not overtake them during the day whilst they are amusing themselves (at the evil Souks)? Only people who will be losers are confident of Allah’s Plan (of punishment not overtaking them).”
IMITATING THE WAYS OF THE KUFFAAR
There is no doubt that the Dubai Souk is in emulation of the Kuffaar. They are so shameless that they even advertise photos of women. Much photography and videoing takes place. This is Haraam. Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam said that the person who will receive the worst punishment on the day of Qiyaamah, will be those who make/take pictures/photos. We warn Muslims to fear Allah and His Punishment, make Taubah, return to the path of Deen, and boycott all these Haraam Souks!
THE DUBAI SOUK IS ABSOLUTELY HARAAM. IT IS NOT
PERMISSIBLE TO ATTEND SUCH FILTH.
Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam said: “Most assuredly, you will follow the ways of those before you inch by inch, cubit by cubit so much so that if they enter into a lizard’s hole, you too will certainly enter it.”
The Sahaabah asked: “O Rasulullah! (Do you mean) the Yahood and the Nasaaraa?” Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: “Who else?” (Bukhari, Muslim, etc.)
